Computer gaming have more cons than pros. Most gamers these days are social recluses, glueing their eyes to the screen 24/7. The computer games do not help them in overcoming social challenges that an average person faces. Instead, they will opt to flee. In so many games, they want real life simulation but what is more real than a conversation with someone who is not a character created in the game.
Gaming takes up so much of the gamer's time. Instead of studying or doing something that will help them in their future, they continue throwing their youth away playing. In the end, who is on the losing end? Unless they are naturally smart, they become failures in the future. Yes, you might say that they can become a game designer but there are not many positions for that job and instead of getting a job in their oh-so-beloved game designing, they become, harsh as it sounds, failures.
Gaming is good, but only in moderation.
As Will Rogers said, Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save.

while i agree with both pro's and cons ( yea i have fast reflects thanks to counter-strike but as a result my glasses are thick a quantum physics textbook). Regardless of what games you play, it's no doubt it prompts you to learn faster which will eventually be useful in real life. Strategies learned in games are applicable in daily going-ons. however, kids should be understanding and reasonable when playing computer games. It is easy to succumb to internet addiction so try playing short flash games that only take up an hour of you day instead or popular MMoRPG's like Maple Story or Ragnorak Online (rehabilitated addict). So it's basically all about self control when it comes to games. Only the player can decide how long is good for them. Keep in mind though that you can never have too much of a good thing to continue to reap the rewards.

Cybercrimes are causing many problems lately. My computer have been attacked by viruses for many times! Even the most advance anti-virus cant prevent these viruses. Why do people want to create such disaster? It's very annoying and it's money-consuming too! These irrational people should learn the values of life instead of doing these undesirable acts. It's not funny stealing other people's passwords and gaining access to other people's computer. We humans have privacy and we want to have a better life on Earth. Instead of doing cybercrimes, why don't you think of the ways to save our World?

It is very true that computer gaming is the current hobby most teens are fanatic about. I have heard that computer gaming can enhance hand-eye coordination, logical thinking skills and alertness. I even know friends who are non-gamers, who tell me how much their computer gaming classmates excel in subjects like Mathematics in class and how fast they solve problems when working with others in a team.
It is true that gaming can enhance one's coordination and thinking skills, but I believe that computer gaming has more cons than pros. Teens tend to get very addicted to computer games that they tend to negelect their studies. In class, they may think fast but what use is that if they can't concentrate? The teacher can be teaching but the student's mind may be somewhere else, thinking of a new strategy for the game in order to be the top gamer. I also agree with the fact that more and more games are getting violent. These games not only will have a negative impact on teenagers but also young children who are curious and have access to the Internet. In conclusion, I strongly feel that computer gaming has more negative effects than postive ones.

I used to play computer games last time, but I realized that computer games are actually wasting my time and eventually get bored every time. Yea, there are some good about computer games too, I've learned many new words/terms from games such as Starcraft and even from online games. It's very good if you concentrate on learning and playing at the same time. Though, it's very bad for those teenagers to play computer games for very long time. They should play computer games moderately and not too much. Besides that, parents' guidance are important too. So parents, make sure your child doesn't stick to the computer for too long!

As with any successful business, if it is already making mountains of profit, the next step is to diversify / expand.

And Google nailed it with DoubleClick. While the acquisition figures suggest astronomical liquidity, it also reflects how a gargantuan e-company is willing to take huge risks in subtly tightening its stranglehold on the e-market.

Forget not the risk here may be easily compared with levels seen in venture capital.

Taking Microsoft out of the equation, Ya-Goo might just turn out to be the next big thing to inundate virtual reality.

With undoubtedly the best search engine to ever emerge, coupled with Yahoo!'s knowhow on the right ways of bridging the social divide whilst keeping its loyal visitors entertained, it makes for a deadly partnership.

As the old adage holds, if you can't beat them, you join them. Yahoo! may soon realise a merger with Google will fly them to the moon faster than a handshake with Microsoft.

By taking away the basic humanitarian rights of millions of Afghan mobile users, just so whatever remains of their diminishing army can be protected is selfish at best. Plain apathy.

They claim to fight for a brotherhood cause. Yet their actions in this context speak otherwise. Satire at its best.
